SPARK Delivers Windy SLR60 Chaseboat for Superyacht Client

SPARK Marine Projects is pleased to announce the successful delivery of a Windy SLR60 chaseboat for a superyacht client team, marking another milestone in our ongoing support of high-performance chaseboat and tender programmes.

From Brief to Delivery

SPARK’s involvement spanned from pre-purchase technical and commercial support through to project management and delivery, working closely with the captain and senior crew to ensure a smooth and informed process from start to finish.

The project began with a clear client brief: to identify, validate and secure a build slot for a high-performance chaseboat capable of supporting global yacht operations. The Windy SLR60 was selected as the chosen platform, balancing proven performance and shorter delivery time compared to other market or custom-build alternatives.

Structured Support and Technical Oversight

SPARK’s role included:

Brief Definition: Clarifying requirements and expectations across all stakeholders.

Specification & Design Review: Ensuring alignment between the specification, design, client operational needs and long-term maintenance goals.

Shipyard & Build Assessment: Conducting on-site visits and sister-vessel inspections to confirm quality, process and build standards.

Market & Regulation Research: Verifying Small Commercial Vessel (SCV) compliance and registration options.

Contract Review: Supporting commercial and legal teams to achieve balanced contract terms.

Following contract signature, SPARK provided project management support, including milestone tracking, progress reporting and coordinating refinements with the crew and shipyard to improve reliability, comfort and maintainability.

Delivery and Acceptance

SPARK attended pre-delivery inspections and final sea trials to validate build quality and performance before handover, supporting the captain and crew throughout the process.
